Education/Qualifications
1986-91: Informal studies in Painting and Drawing at Kerala Kalapeetom, under artist T. Kaladharan.
Got early exposure to various art movements, master works, world literature and cinema.
Widely read Indian Philosophy as interpreted by Swami Vivekananda, Sri Aurobindo and Guru Nitya Chaitanya Yati.
Developed deep interest in the works of Van Gogh, Kandinsky, Ukiyo-e prints, Chinese ink paintings, Indian Miniatures and Kerala Murals.
1991-95: Studied Painting in the College of Fine Arts, Kerala University, Trivandrum.
1995: B.F.A .degree in Painting with distinction and first rank.
1995-’97: Studied Print-making in the Faculty of Fine Arts. M.S.University, Baroda,
Student on exchange programme and studied in Ecole Nationale Superieur des Beaux arts, Paris,
for four months from October 1996 to February 1997. Did copper plate etchings.
Visited major art museums in Paris and Amsterdam (Netherlands)
1997: M.A. (Fine) degree in Graphic Arts.
1998: Eligibility for Lectureship (NET) by U.G.C., New Delhi, in the field of Visual arts.
